Position Details

The Regional Programs Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of a significant recovery program across the Gippsland region in the 2024-25 financial year, including the continuation of recovery works as a result of the 2019-20 east Gippsland bushfires and more recent storm and flood events in the region.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of project officers to deliver a range of land management projects across the Gippsland region on public land. These projects will include roading and visitor assets. This is a leadership role that will be responsible for ensuring that organisational policies and governance arrangements are adhered to and implemented by their team of project officers. Additionally, this role will need to manage the substantial regional recovery budget to meet financial milestones.

This is an exciting role that is based in a beautiful part of Australia and will be part of delivering meaningful outcomes for the Gippsland community.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification(s) in science, law, economics, public policy, natural resource or environmental management, business management or similar is desirable.   
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high priority projects in a complex operating environment.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2025. The work location for this position is flexible within the Gippsland region with hybrid work arrangements available.
