Position Details
Use your high level policy skills to help Victoria achieve a net zero emissions, climate-resilient and circular economy.
The Climate Action and Circular Economy Division is seeking a number of policy professionals to develop high quality, proactive and timely policy advice to drive climate action and build Victoria's circular economy. You will have the opportunity to drive forward the Victorian Government's ambitious climate action and circular economy agenda while working in a supportive and high performing division within DEECA.
There are a range of policy positions across a number of climate action and circular economy branches including in net zero policy, adaptation policy, government climate action, and circular economy policy teams.
To be successful in this position you will have demonstrated skills to effectively formulate and communicate public policy options and recommendations. You will have proven ability to think critically and communicate in a clear and impactful way. You will have a flexible and responsive attitude to your work.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Experience in undertaking complex policy analysis and providing high level policy advice is desirable
- High level knowledge, skills and experience with policy analysis and advice is desirable
- Experience undertaking engagement with stakeholders across government, industry and the community on complex policy issues is desirable
- A well-developed understanding of Victorian Government policy processes is desirable
- Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field are desirable.
This is a fixed term position available until 30 September 2025. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
