Position Details

Drive governance, risk management, and integration for Offshore Wind Energy Victoria, leading key partnerships and ensuring seamless program execution in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic leader to drive the Offshore Wind (OSW) program, managing program governance, project integration and strategic planning. In this role, you will ensure the effective delivery of projects on time and within budget, aligning program priorities with DEECA's business objectives. You'll oversee governance, reporting, and contractor management, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Your leadership will foster continuous improvement, ensuring successful outcomes in Victoria's emerging offshore wind sector.

About you:

To be successful in the role, you will have;

  • Relevant Engineering, Legal, Business or Project Management qualifications supported by experience within government or industry.
  • Deep and thorough understanding of major infrastructure program management and project integration, governance models. A high level understanding of the Victorian and national energy market and offshore wind sector are desirable but not essential.

About the division

The Offshore Wind Energy Victoria (OWEV) division of Energy Group is responsible for supporting the development of a thriving and commercially viable Offshore Wind industry in Victoria. The division, in coordination with the rest of DEECA, and the broader Victorian Government, seeks to ensure a mature market is established to achieve the legislated OSW targets of 2GW by 2032, 4 GW by 2035 and 9 GW by 2040 to support the renewable energy transition.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
