Position Details

Reporting to the Senior Consultant, Leadership Development, the Senior Learning Designer will play a crucial role in the co-design of DEECA's new flagship leadership development offering. This position uses neuro-learning principles to deliver a contemporary approach to leadership development that supports DEECA to achieve its desired culture. Duties of your role include but are not limited to:

  • Develop program curriculum and course content aligned to the high-level program architecture and the DEECA Leadership Model, with a focus on embedded learning and workplace application.
  • Ensure leadership development solutions are aligned to the neuroscience of learning and development, and adult learning principles, by incorporating innovative techniques to enhance learner engagement.
  • Ensure learning is suitable for different audiences and different delivery mediums, by leveraging human-centred design to ensure the design supports desired performance outcomes. 
  • Project manage learning design, development and production; including blended learning, the development of learning assets and multimedia and digital resource development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program evaluation framework including analysis of evaluation outcomes and development / implementation of recommendations in response.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, psychology or a related field (desirable).
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment and proficient use of authoring tools, preferably Articulate 360, PowToon or related software (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in design and development of capability solutions across all modalities including elearning and multimedia. (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated expertise in learning and instructional design, applying adult learning principles to both formal and informal settings, including social and experiential learning.
  • Skilled in aligning learning solutions to hybrid environments for geographically dispersed and diverse workforces.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2025. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
