Position Details

The Planning and Environment Assessments team is looking for a motivated and capable planner to join its supportive, flexible and motivated team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop planning and biodiversity advice to support the delivery of major and state projects with a focus on place-based strategic plans, and to support decision-makers in the planning process to deliver the Victorian Government's Housing Statement.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in land use planning and experience in application of Victoria's planning system and environmental regulation framework is mandatory.
  • Contemporary understanding of the Victoria Planning Provisions and the development of place based strategic plans is desirable.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering land use planning advice and managing approval inputs into environmental impact assessment is desirable.
  • An understanding of current issues in regional planning and environmental consideration when planning for residential growth

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 24 months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
