Position Details
The Program Officer, Forest and Fire Standards will support the Senior Program Officer, Forest and Fire Standards in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the framework for doctrine for FFOD's forest and fire management works.
The Program Officer will support the Senior Program Officer and Program Manager, Planning and Approvals to maintain, review and update forest and fire management doctrine, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, guidances and technical specifications, incorporating lessons, changing practices and best available evidence into FFOD and FFMVic's operating environment. The Program Officer will also play a key role in managing effective and efficient governance arrangements to ensure that forest and fire management standards are developed collaboratively with subject matter experts and meet organisational and operational needs.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Experience in regulatory requirements and/or implementation of forest and fire management works
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
