Position Details
The Senior Policy Officer, Critical Minerals is part of a team that supports the development of contemporary policy, regulatory design and legislative reforms for earth resources, with a particular focus on the delivery of actions outlined in Theme 4 of the Victorian Critical Minerals Roadmap (‘Sharing the benefits of Victoria's Minerals').
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience providing high-level authoritative strategic policy advice, coupled with experience in preparing Ministerial briefs, and/or reports to senior management.
- Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with demanding timelines, to adapt and reprioritise quickly as required to deliver results.
- A tertiary qualification in law, economics, public policy, business management, natural resource management or other relevant fields would be well regarded.
This is a fixed term position available for a period until 30 June 2026. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
