Position Details

Number of vacancies available: 1 x full time (76 hours per fortnight) fixed term to 30th June 2019

Office Location(s):
 50 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 - close engagement with divisions will entail travel

Position Summary:

The Principal Project Officer (PPO) will play a leadership role in the implementation of whole of Victorian government information sharing and risk assessment reforms aimed at keeping families and children safe and well. The PPO will use their highly developed stakeholder engagement skills and experience in managing the delivery of cross-government reforms to work with health and human service sectors and workforces to meet the significant new legislative and service delivery obligations.

The PPO will utilise their project management expertise to deliver a well-planned and co-designed implementation on behalf of the department, work closely with divisional managers and staff to ensure the review and revision of policies, protocols and practice guidance in alignment with the new reforms, and engage with sector stakeholders in implementing the reforms. The PPO will work with a significant amount of autonomy and have some supervisory responsibilities for other project staff.
