An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Officer to join our dynamic team on an ongoing basis in the Security and Intelligence Division.

Corrections Victoria Intelligence Service (CVIS) is the overarching intelligence service for Corrections Victoria and its stakeholders. Presently the CVIS comprises the primary intelligence unit known as the Corrections Victoria Intelligence Unit (CVIU) and intelligence officers located at the twelve public and two private prison facilities in Victoria.

The position of Project Officer will be responsible for providing high level advice and support to all staff across the organisation.  The role will be responsible for providing project management assistance with business critical enterprise applications as well as delivery of high quality customer service. 

The Project Officer will be pro-active, organised and able to deliver a consistently high level of output and service in a deadline driven environment.  You will be customer focused and able to cooperate and work well with others in the pursuit of team goals.  You will also have the ability to listen to customers and actively seek to meet their needs. 

In addition, you will be able to continuously seek ways to improve services and be committed to delivering high quality outcomes.  You will be able to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels and build trust through consistent actions, values and communication.

This position will require you to work from Statewide Services Building in Ravenhall as well as Head Office in Melbourne CBD, but you may be required to work from various locations including any Victorian prison facility, if a business need requires.

As our ideal candidate, you will be required to demonstrate:

  • Ability to develop and implement systems to improve services and be committed to delivering high quality outcomes.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the proven ability to translate technical IT issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
