An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Project Manager on an ongoing basis in the Electronic Monitoring Program within Security and Intelligence Division, Corrections Victoria.

About Us

Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria's corrections system, which incorporates prisons and Community Correctional Services. As a service agency within the Department of Justice and Regulation, Corrections Victoria develops and implements policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.

Corrections Victoria manages approximately 59 Community Correctional Services locations across the state and is responsible for managing Victoria's eleven public prisons, and overseeing the contracts relating to the management of three privately operated prisons. In doing so, Corrections Victoria delivers a safe and secure corrections system that actively engages offenders and the community to promote positive behaviour change.

Corrections Victoria's Electronic Monitoring Program is a business unit within the Security and Intelligence Division. The Electronic Monitoring Program maintains oversight of the state-wide program and management of the Electronic Monitoring Centre.

About the Role

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing the finalisation of contract negotiations which will see the Electronic Monitoring Program consolidate a number of its technology contracts. The role will also manage and monitor all aspects of contract implementation and develop processes and protocols for the Electronic Monitoring Centre, Community Corrections Services, Corella Place and other key stakeholders.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will be required to demonstrate:

  • practical knowledge and understanding of current and emerging issues in the management of offenders
  • development and management of key projects, anticipate and address issues and negotiate key elements with stakeholders
  • consultation and implementation of change proposals in an effective manner building support and commitment.

The role may require some travel to the Electronic Monitoring Centre (Ravenhall), transitional facilities and other regional locations as well as participation in afterhours on call (approximately one week in five).
