Position Details

Summary of what you’ll be doing

In this role, you will lead the delivery of priority strategic planning processes, involving the early identification and escalation of significant matters internally. You will be the primary source of expertise in the Regional Services Directorate in strategic planning and will report through the State-wide Planning Coordinator. You will be required to grow the Environment Protection Authority Victoria’s (EPA) capacity in strategic planning and support other staff to develop their skills and knowledge in this area. You will be required to contribute and lead complex strategic planning activities as identified, including building strong stakeholder relationships with Planning Authorities. You will be part of a broader planning team which will influence and contribute to internal and external reform activities.

What you bring

Significant demonstrated post tertiary experience in Strategic Planning; Ability to engage and build relationships easily with others; Well-developed interpersonal, communication and project management skills; Well-developed influencing and negotiation skills; Ability to prioritise, work autonomously on your own initiative and be self-motivated and driven; Demonstrated understanding of the Environment Protection Act 1970 and the Planning and Environment Act 1987; Planning Panels experience;Tertiary qualifications in Planning
