Program Coordinator – Planning and Integration

About the Role:

A critical element of the Victorian Government response to the Independent Inquiry into the Environment Protection Authority is the review and modernisation of the Environment Protection Act and subordinate legislation. A joint EPA and DELWP team, including staff from the EPA's Policy & Regulation unit and DELWP's Environment Protection Branch, are responsible for developing a range of necessary subordinate instruments to deliver the Government's commitment by July 2020.

The Program Coordinator will proactively support the Program Manager in the coordination and maintenance of the Subordinate Legislation Program Plan by:

  • leading the coordination of the review and response to the public comment submissions on any proposed regulations;
  • undertaking secretariat responsibilities for all governance committees; 
  • developing and/or contributing to Ministerial briefs and correspondence; and
  • contributing to the coordination of stakeholder engagement communications and activities

The role will require demonstration of strong analytical and written skills as well as experience in building and maintaining productive stakeholder relationships.
