Position Details

Ambulance Victoria (AV) is currently seeking to recruit a casual Retrieval Administrative Support Officer (RASO) to join their Clinical & Community Services Division. This position is located at Adult Retrieval Victoria (ARV), South Melbourne.

About the role

The RASO position is the first point of contact for all referrals to the state wide adult retrieval service. The primary function of this role is to provide telephony support and effective and efficient administrative support to the ARV Clinical Coordinator. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Call taking and telephony support as required, including general administrative support to the ARV Clinical Coordinator

• Database management including accurate data entry, and data checking procedures

• Performance of regular day-to-day administrative tasks as required, including VACiS data entry

About you

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in administration duties, including call taking and telephony experience.  Intermediate to advanced use in Microsoft applications, in particular Word and Excel is essential, as well as strong communication and problem solving skills teamed with excellent attention to detail. Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential.

An understanding of medical terminology would be advantageous but not essential to the success of this role.
