Manager Contracts and Business Performance

Ambulance Victoria's (AV) mission is to improve the health of our community by delivering innovative, high quality ambulance services in order to achieve Best Care for every patient, every time.  An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Manager Contracts and Business Performance professional, based in our North Blackburn Business Centre.

About the role

This permanent full time role is responsible for developing and leading strategic operational business performance, including private provider contract management state-wide, enabling effective and optimal financial, contractual and operational service delivery across AV. 

Reporting to the Director, Operational Logistics, the responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Leading and providing strategic management and oversight of AV's operational business performance
  • Establishing the Contracts and Business Performance team, bringing together the business functions and activities, identifying synergies and expertise of staff and leading change
  • Leading the management of operational logistics contractual and service relationships to optimise service delivery and value for money
  • Maintaining a strong safety focus, modelling and promoting safety leadership and overseeing and driving compliance

About you

You will possess a tertiary qualification in Business and Accounting and be a qualified Accountant.  In addition, you will have significant experience in commercial, financial and contract management, financial metrics and cost/benefit analysis.  Your extensive experience with the management and implementation of supply chain management processes including financial, resource, contract and supplier management, will be invaluable.

Finally, your strong negotiation, leadership and management skills together with your analytical and business writing skills will ensure success in this role, as will your ability to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships. 

The salary range for this position effective from 18/2/19 will be $144,859 - $170,423 + 9.5% super.

The successful candidate must have a current Victorian Driver's Licence, be willing to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria when required, and undertake a National Police Check.
