Position Details

The role is primarily responsible for Leading and managing the resourcing of short-term operational vacancies to ensure they are filled in the most efficient and effective manner. The position will manage the allocation of appropriate staff skill to daily shift vacancies ensuring operational resource requirements are met. 

About the role

Reporting to the Manager of rostering the key accountabilities of the role will include but are not limited to: 

  • Providing regular updates and maintaining data in Rostering software for operational rostering and reporting purposes;
  • Support the delivery of processes and systems to strategically manage operations workforce planning requirements;
  • Through the escalation process, provide information and advice relating to rostering for AV managers  resource requirements;
  • Work collaboratively with the Payroll Systems team to ensure organisational alignment and knowledge sharing;
  • Develop and manage the roster for the Daily Desk team, ensuring appropriate coverage at all times;
  • Coordinate training within the Day of Operation team and ensure staff are appropriately accredited. 

About you

You are self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast paced environment where your significant analytical resourcing experience at management level, coupled with your sound knowledge and experience from working in a workforce planning environment, and understanding of Government and public sector, will be an advantage.   

To be successful your skills and attributes will include but are not limited to: 

  • A tertiary qualification in health, logistics, business or related discipline or like experience;
  • Broad and diverse business background in a service delivery organisation or logistics environment (preferably within the public sector)
  • Experience in developing and implementing process and business improvement activities, and the ability to identify proactive solutions
  • Ability to develop a systematic approach to administrative and management processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proven experience in researching and analysing information;
