Position Details

Ambulance Victoria's mission is to improve the health of our community by delivering innovative, high quality ambulance services.  Ambulance Victoria (AV) is now recruiting for a Maintenance Coordinator to join the Property Services department, within the Corporate Services division.  This is a full time, two (2) year, fixed term position based out of AV's Blackburn North headquarters.

Reporting to the Manager Maintenance, Compliance and Security, this role is responsible for the efficient delivery of core, scheduled and emergency maintenance activities for an allocated number of regions within AV's property portfolio.

About the role

As Maintenance Coordinator your responsibilities and duties will include, (but are not limited to):

  • Providing a key point of contact for emergency and non-emergency maintenance needs;
  • Tailoring scopes of works and coordinating all maintenance requirements;
  • Communicating maintenance activities to stakeholders and consulting decision makers as required;
  • Managing contractor relationships including engagement, quotations, and work performance;
  • Developing and maintaining the preferred maintenance supplier register, and participating in the tender management and pricing process;
  • Inspecting properties and preparing maintenance reports, particularly in relation to OH&S issues; and
  • Risk management and ensuring compliance with AV policies, OH&S, and other legislative frameworks

About you

To be considered for this role you will need demonstrated facilities management experience, managing and maintaining building infrastructure in the commercial sector.  This will include a working knowledge of building regulations and State Government procurement processes.

Using your communication and negotiation skills, you will build relationships and enjoy the challenge of prioritising, organising and problem solving to meet business and customer requirements.  This is a busy role requiring an ability to work both independently and as part of the property team. 

Due to the nature of these positions, a current Victorian driver's licence and the willingness to travel is required.  A tool of trade vehicle will be supplied.

The salary range for this position is currently $77,027-$85,585 + 9.5% super, however this salary will attract a 4.25% increase on 18 February 2019.
