Position Details

A fixed term 6 month opportunity is now available as a Building Activity Administrator. This opportunity may be short to begin with but has the potential to lead to other opportunities within the VBA as your experience grows within the role.

As the Building Activity Administrator you will be responsible for providing support to Building Surveyors in lodging Building Permit applications, amendments, monthly prescribed events reports, managing levy payments and cases/requests logged by Building Surveyors via VBA's online Building Permit Management platform- BAMS (Building activity management System) and responding to enquiries and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Who are we looking for

  1. Previous experience in a similar role involving data processing, with experience in providing guidance to clients.
  2. Proven ability to identify trends and gaps in data and information.
  3. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrated ability to be proactive, provide high levels of customer service with the ability to handle sensitive matters with diplomacy and tact.
