Position Details

About us

Department of Justice & Community Safety comprises of eight regions, through which compliance, enforcement and regulatory services are provided to the Victorian community.

The Loddon Mallee Region provides services at Justice Service Centres in Bendigo, Swan Hill and Mildura and at various outreach locations across the region. Loddon Mallee Region also has three prisons, two within the Loddon Prison Precinct which includes a medium risk facility (Loddon) and a restricted minimum facility (Middleton). The third, Tarrengower Prison, located at Maldon is a minimum risk women's facility.

About the role

The Project and Compliance Coordinator of Tarrengower Prison is responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of a system to monitor, track and audit procedural compliance within the prison. In this role, you will:

  • Manage and monitor Tarrengower Prison's quality assurance program, ensuring the local operating procedures are reviewed and updated
  • Contribute to the planning, implementation and monitoring of prison plans, including the annual business plan, fire preparedness plan, emergency management plan and all corrective action plans
  • Coordinate procedural compliance and auditing at the prison.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • A good understanding of modern business services activities
  • Records management knowledge, with the ability to apply the department's records management policy and procedures to local business processes
  • The ability to analyse and classify business records in accordance with the department's Business Classification Scheme and Information Security Classifications.
