Position Details

Ambulance Victoria (AV) is eager to welcome applications for the position of Senior Performance Analyst, Quality and Patient Experience (QPE).  This role offers the opportunity to collate, model, analyse and report on Clinical Safety and Quality data to assist in the assessment of Patient Safety and Service Quality performance and delivery of Ambulance Victoria Business objectives.  It supports the establishment of the new QPE division to deliver on the AV mission to deliver outstanding emergency health care every time.

About the role

Reporting to the Lead, Clinical Governance, the main duties of the role include (but are not limited to):

• Acquiring, collating, interpreting and analysing performance data from relevant sources relating to patient safety, quality assurance, clinical risk management and patient experience;

• Undertaking detailed analyses and providing analytical support relevant to the Quality and Patient Experience (QPE) division;

• Supporting QPE team and operational areas with designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on service improvement initiatives to deliver Best Care;

• Developing data reports to model and assist in the monitoring of Patient Safety and Service Quality performance metrics;

• Preparing management reports which clearly articulate the results of data analysis and identify key issues; and

• Developing appropriate reports and models which enable impacts of potential strategies to be modelled and explained;

About you

The successful candidate will possess a tertiary or post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline and have experience in data analysis, modelling and data reporting, preferably in a service delivery environment.  Experienced in relevant business process and continuous improvement methodologies, you will possess well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills, enabling you to identify issues and make judgements to determine appropriate courses of action for achieving organisational goals. 

You will have highly developed quantitative analysis skills and experience in interpreting large volumes of data, as well as keen attention to detail using appropriate checking/validation processes to ensure information is recorded accurately and is of reliable quality.

You will be an excellent communicator and have strong interpersonal and influencing skills to gain acceptance and support of ideas, as well as an ability to adapt your style to accommodate situations and individuals.  You will possess demonstrated experience in developing and sustaining these strong working relationships and networks with key internal and external stakeholders.  You will also be able to actively participate as a team member and assist the team to move towards the completion of goals.

Finally, you will be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite; in particular, Excel, Access and Outlook and other relevant software applications.
