About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader- Infringements, the Motor Vehicles Officer's role primarily leads and supports the delivery of the statewide motor vehicle program by maintaining the EPA appointed noisy vehicle testing network, liaising with Victoria Police and co-regulators to organise motor vehicle roadside operations and achieving effective and efficient compliance and enforcement outcomes. This role enhances program policies and procedures, prepares prosecution briefs and other evidentiary matters when required and is the primary contact for disputes received in relation to motor vehicle notices.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Knowledge of the motor vehicle industry (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, planning, monitoring and delivering a program/project consistent with organisational priorities, including risk identification and management, budget development and management.
  • Ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives and procedures, to achieve optimal organisational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated focus on accountability for the execution and quality of results through professionalism, persistence and transparency.
  • Ability to think outside the square, a willingness to try new things and a genuine desire to learn, share knowledge and make a difference.
