Position Details

Support Officer, Justice Services within Community Services– Department of Justice and Community Safety (Youth Employment Program)

If you're aged between 17 and 29, and you're currently unemployed or have had your hours at work greatly reduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we would love for you to consider becoming a support officer for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (This is an eligibility requirement of the Youth Employment Program, Please ensure you meet these requirements before applying)

About the job:

We're looking to recruit a Support Officer to join the team at Justice Services (West Area), based at Ballarat Justice Service Centre - on a full-time 9-month fixed term contract, with the potential to undertake further training and develop a career within the Victorian Public Service.

•Earn a full-time VPS Grade 1 salary ($49,231 - $52,261)

•Enjoy education, mentoring and transition support to improve chances of further employment.

•Anyone aged 17-29 is eligible to apply. Priority consideration will be given to people with a disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) applicants, who have been more adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This position is onsite, based on Government health directions, at 206 Mair St, Ballarat Central VIC 3350 

The daily duties will typically involve tasks such as:

• Project support

• Taking meeting minutes and creating agendas

• Contribute to the general operations of the regional service delivery model

• Administration
