Position Details
THE ROLE
The Principal Operational Enhancements Adviser, Systems Initiatives and Operational Enhancements provides expert advice in relation to key Community Services Operations and Practice Leadership initiatives aligned with the division's strategic priorities and the child protection portfolio.
The position requires knowledge and expertise regarding Victoria's child protection program, experience in service implementation and proven track record of problem solving and issues resolution. The position also requires excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, and the ability to be responsive to tasks, including the provision of responses in a timely manner and contribution to a variety of work priorities within the unit.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Manage and oversee the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
- Researching, preparing and executing project business cases and plans within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Preparing and presenting quality reports and work briefings in accordance with the department's project management processes.
- Evaluating tender bids and participating in liaison and negotiation associated with tender processes.
- Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
- Provide leadership, guidance and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.
