Safety Coordinator

Rail Projects Victoria (RPV), formerly known as Melbourne Metro Rail Authority, is the Victorian Government body responsible for the delivery of the Metro Tunnel Project, Regional Rail Revival, the high speed rail link between Geelong and Melbourne and the future Melbourne Airport Link. RPV is responsible for all aspects of the projects including planning and development of a project reference design, site investigations, stakeholder engagement, planning approvals and procurement, through to construction delivery and project commissioning.

Position Details

The role

The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for promoting a safe and healthy work culture and the management of the development, implementation and maintenance of best practice safety management systems, procedures and communications. This office based position requires knowledge of safety management systems, safety legislation and experience in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and ensure successful delivery of key health and safety initiatives and programs. Excellent communication and organisational skills and a strong ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders are vital.
