Position Details

Ambulance Victoria's Operational Logistics Department is currently seeking a suitably experienced Logistics Support Officer to provide state wide support for the preparation and deployment of vehicles, operational equipment and specialist resources to maximise operational performance. 

This is a full time, permanent positions that may work at any of the AV Support Centres as per the roster from Monday to Friday. Hours of work may fall between the hours of 6.30am and 6.00pm and on occasions reasonable overtime may be required. 

About the role

Reporting to the Specialist Resources & Operational Equipment Coordinator, the responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

  • Maintain all vehicle status, files and records, including fleet and/or equipment management information systems. Supporting the requirements for the Equipment Compliance Program.
  • Enable the availability and development of operational equipment and specialist resources for the whole of Ambulance Victoria.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, deployment and stocktake of operational vehicles and equipment as needed.
  • Provide subject matter expertise aligned to assigned portfolios as required to ensure goals are achieved and to drive improved operational outcomes.
  • Assisting with the delivery and support of staff training and induction 

About you

To be considered for this position you will be experienced in the use of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook and working in a comparative fleet or logistics environment. Your strong organisational skills with an emphasis on working efficiently within critical time lines will be looked on favourably. You will possess a strong commitment to customer service and demonstrate solid interpersonal and influencing skills. To succeed in this role it would be desirable to have knowledge of fleet coordination practices, vehicle cleaning and restocking, medical equipment (desirable) and possess a strong geographical understanding of Victoria. Finally you will hold a current full Victorian Drivers Licence.
