Position Details

Looking for a position that allows you to contribute to Ambulance Victoria (AV) strategic plans whilst applying your strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills?  Then look no further!

AV is seeking an experienced Strategy Driver to provide professional leadership and specialist advisory services across AV's transformation and change management activities, to ensure projects and change initiatives translate organisational objectives into high value business outcomes.  This is a full time, permanent position currently based at Doncaster.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), the responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting AV Business areas, executives and project managers by providing enterprise portfolio reporting, analysis and insights, strategic enterprise wide advice on governance and project management best practices
  • Establishing a consistent and high quality standard of practice for project delivery across the AV projects and change community
  • Developing trusting, credible and effective partnerships across all levels of the organisation, key stakeholders and partners
  • Promoting the AV Improvement, Project and Change Framework through input into change initiatives

About you

To be considered for this position you will possess tertiary qualifications in program and/or project management.  In addition, qualifications in change management, business and/or public administration will be viewed favourably.  You will have significant and demonstrable experience in leading large scale transformation programs and projects for large, complex service delivery organisations.  Your specialist expertise and knowledge in the design, development and implementation of capability uplift initiatives, projects and change management methodologies will see you succeed in this role.

Your extensive influencing skills and experience in stakeholder consultation, will see you building solid partnerships, making sound decisions under pressure, and establishing good project governance practice through training, coaching and mentoring. You will be known for your attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.

The successful candidate must have a current Victorian Driver's License and be willing to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria when required.  Successful applicants will need to complete a National Police Check.

AV has introduced salary bands and this position is graded at AV 5.  The salary range for an AV 5 position is $116,916 - $138,214 plus 9.5% superannuation. The expectation is that employees will commence at the base of the grade applicable to a position.
