About the Division

Transport Assets' purpose is to maximise the value of the Victorian transport system by driving an integrated, whole-of-life asset management approach to the state's assets across the transport portfolio.  

About the opportunity

The Senior Engineer – Structural Utilisation and Condition will undertake complex structural load rating and assessments and a range of tasks related to the analysis and assessment of bridges and other road related structures to safely maximise use of structures and give advice on maintenance and strengthening investment priorities. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Clearly communicate and exercise professional independent judgement to negotiate with and influence key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.  Advocate for DoT as Road Manager interests in asset whole of life.
  • In accordance with project scope, apply project management skills to co-ordinate the planning activities, work schedule and resource management relating to development and delivery of projects.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to negotiate and influence with project stakeholders.
  • Competent project management skills ensuring high quality, timely and cost-efficient delivery of services.
