- VPS5: $103,920 - $125,735 Per annum plus superannuation
- Fixed Term, Full Time 3 years
- Flexible working arrangements - DOT CBD or Metropolitan Offices
About the Division
Project Integration - To ensure major road projects are developed and delivered by Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) to meet the Department's transport system requirements regarding safety, functionality and long-term benefits for all users.
About the opportunity
The Lead Engineer position in the Project Integration team, Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) branch supports the design and delivery of the state's major road infrastructure projects.
Reporting to the relevant Manager in Project Integration, the Lead Engineer acts as the client interface between MRPV and the Department of Transport's (DoT's) various discipline teams to ensure that project objectives and network outcomes are met throughout the project development, delivery and/or operation.
We are seeking skills covering road design and construction disciplines such as but not limited to: project management, transport planning, traffic advice or modelling, business case development, road/drainage/structural design, civil and structural construction and asset maintenance, active and public transport operations.
The role provides a unique opportunity to:
- Influence numerous large projects that will shape the state's road network into the future
- Be exposed to many teams and executives across DOT and MRPV building your network
- Consolidate your engineering and transport knowledge from interaction with specialist teams and subject matter experts across many disciplines.
Qualifications (Mandatory)
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, management, technology or other discipline
Qualifications (Desirable)
- Demonstrated professional development or additional qualifications in rail systems engineering.
- Professional chartered or accredited qualifications with a recognised professional association.
