About the Opportunity
The Manager, Transport Modelling and Forecasting will lead a team providing strategic modelling and transport forecasting services and advice for the transport portfolio. This Mobility and Insights group is expanding, and this is an opportunity to join a high-performance team and develop your career providing strategic insights across the transport portfolio.
This position works closely with other teams in our Forecasting and Evaluation Unit and interfaces with other areas of the Department seeking your expertise for planning and policy, project delivery and other business. You will thrive in an environment where collaboration, accountability and flexibility are embedded in our work culture.
About You
The successful applicant will possess demonstrable skills in transport planning, policy and project modelling, accompanied by experience with a variety of forecasting methods and the communication of these outputs to stakeholders. Ideally you will have a history of effective leadership and a background in continuous improvement in the context of modelling methods, tools and advice to users.
Other criteria we will assess applicants against include:
- Stakeholder management, particularly collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver on projects
- Communication skills, including influencing and negotiating at all levels
- Problem solving, using both known and innovative techniques
- A tertiary qualification in a related area of study
