About the Opportunity

Road Safety Victoria is a Division the Department of Transport and is responsible for leading the Victorian Government to achieve Zero road fatalities by 2050. 

The Road Users Behaviour Principal Policy Lead provides specialist advice regarding countering road user risk factors. This role leads a team to develop and deliver key road safety research and development, policies, initiatives and programs related to driver behaviour and where required broader road user behaviour.

We're looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable, finding new ways to deliver outcomes whilst building a culture of collaboration across the organisation. 

You will also demonstrate:

  • an ability to manage and lead a high-performance team
  • experience in policy design and development, ideally within road safety 
  • critical thinking and problem solving
  • strong atakeholder management
