About the Opportunity
This is a newly created role leading the Department's Precincts Transport Advice team. Reporting to the Director, Integrated Transport, and in collaboration with the broader Integrated Transport Division your new role leads a team in the provision of transport advice for a broad range of precincts in Victoria, ensuring integrated transport and land use outcomes.
You will lead your team towards integrated transport and land use outcomes that realise the Government's strategic vision for Victoria.
About You
As an experienced leader, you will demonstrate the ability to harness your team's current skillset and create a positive team culture. Through a continuous improvement lens, you will motivate our people to achieve goals, often within tight timeframes.
You are a ‘big picture' thinker able to convert ideas into clearly defined actions, balancing technical transport engineering skills with the importance of land use planning.
On a technical level, transport planning and engineer skills are essential to lead the provision of expert transport planning advice, within the context of relevant road safety and traffic engineering principles and codes.
The team you will be joining enjoys a culture of co-operation, knowledge sharing, future-focus, and inter-agency teamwork. Our ideal candidate will share these traits and align with the Department's values.
