Project Manager, Fishing & Boating Infrastructure
- Annual Salary Range: VPS Grade 5 $103,920 to $125,735
- Tenure: Fixed Term, 12 Months

- Usual Work Location: Melbourne CBD (the department provides flexible working arrangements)
About the Team
The position will work closely with colleagues across the department and stakeholders operating within the boating industry and relevant Victorian Government departments, agencies, Local Government, Committees of Management and facility users / members of the public to implement various boating initiatives.
About the opportunity
The role of Project Manager is to work across the development and delivery of Boating and Fishing infrastructure projects. This includes progressing concept and detailed designs, planning permits and approvals in addition to assisting asset managers to facilitate delivery of boating infrastructure projects.
About You
- Support the facilitation of boating project delivery by progressing concept designs with relevant asset managers and stakeholders.
- Facilitate boating project delivery by overseeing detailed designs and approvals with relevant asset managers.
- Work cooperatively with the Fishing and Boating Infrastructure/Better Boating Victoria team, relevant government departments/agencies, local governments, planning authorities to facilitate and/or manage boating initiatives.
- Work with highly complex, at times contentious and sensitive information, and prepare and present authoritative technical, policy and program advice to the director, Chief Executive and Minister through technical reports, presentations, ministerial briefings, cabinet, and executive submissions.
- Prepare relevant project management/procurement documentation, Funding and/or Management Agreements with relevant asset managers and implement associated governance arrangements.
