About the Opportunity

The Advisor, Inner Melbourne Transport & Amenity Program, is your opportunity to contribute to transport projects complementing central Melbourne, with key focus on North Melbourne and West Melbourne areas.

Working in a newly created team and reporting to the Program Lead, you will work closely with subject matter experts across the Department, urban designers, engineers, planners and stakeholders from the City of Melbourne.

The career minded Transport Planner will also benefit from our collaborative and high-performance team, with access to multiple avenues for career development within the broader Integrated Transport Division, and flexible work arrangements.

The fixed term contract will likely extend beyond the current end date of June 30 2023, as the Program is planned to 2025. 

About You

We are seeking a candidate with strong evidence of strategic transport planning knowledge and experience, delivering projects that improve place and urban realm. The skills required include, but are not limited to:

  • Mandatory qualifications in civil engineering or equivalent engineering degree
  • Project Management experience supporting the delivery of large-scale transport and / or urban planning program initiatives
  • Collaborative and consultative approach to relationships to influence outcomes for stakeholders and the community
  • Ability to deal with complexity and present creative ideas that link to innovations
