The Project Officer, Integrated Catchment Management will support the implementation of state level integrated catchment management initiatives, oversight of investment program deliverables, as well as coordinate and provide administrative support for governance and strategic engagement processes supporting policy and program delivery. They will also support administration of parts of the Catchments and Land Protection Act 1994 that relate to the roles and functions of catchment management authorities.

The role will need to function with some level of independence and work collaboratively with team members, and colleagues across the Department.  The successful applicant will support engagement with a broad range of key external stakeholders to maintain a collaborative approach to policy and program implementation.

The successful candidate will have a background and qualifications in science, catchment management or natural resource management, or environmental management and have demonstrated experience in supporting policy and program development and implementation. They will also possess knowledge on the catchment management framework In Victoria and current policy settings. Highly desirable, they will have technical capability in Geographic Information Systems.

This is a fixed term position available until 21 June 2020.
