The Program Manager Regional Planning and Approvals is responsible for leading a small team to deliver coordinated and integrated whole of Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) engagement in statutory and strategic planning for both private and public land use. Provide direction and support for the delivery of public land compliance projects and programs.

This position requires a person with strong understanding of land use planning, the Victorian planning system and of DELWP's role and portfolio interests to be represented into internal and external land use planning processes.

A strong understanding of Victoria's planning system and the environmental regulations framework and extensive experience in preparing and delivering land use planning advice and projects,  knowledge of the land and resource use issues affecting the region and a sound appreciation of their impacts on DELWP interests in the region.

This is a fixed term – flexible position to 5 July 2018.
