The Manager, Adaptation will contribute to the delivery of the Victorian Government's ambitious climate change policy agenda. The position leads the Adaptation Policy Team – a multi-disciplinary team that provides advice on climate change adaptation priorities and works with partners to build resilience to climate change in Victoria.

The Manager, Adaptation will:

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of commitments under Victoria's Climate Change Adaptation Plan 2017-2020.
  • Lead and support a high-performing team of 10 people, incorporating 3 workstreams (Climate Change Information and Communication, Place-Based Adaptation and Sector Based Adaptation).
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Adaptation Policy Team, to deliver on the objectives and commitments in Victoria's Climate Change Adaptation Plan 2017-2020.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-impact adaptation projects on time and in budget; effectively manage a budget of approximately $4 million per year in accordance with funding agreements and corporate obligations; facilitate effective project management across multiple projects and streamlining and integration of work across the Adaptation team.
