As a Senior Policy Officer, you will work as part of a high performing team to deliver key government reforms to Victoria's planning and building system. Working in a dynamic environment, the Senior Policy Officer will lead on a number of projects to progress planning projects on a range of related legislation, policies and strategies. Manage projects to improve the operation of the Victorian statutory planning system.

The successful candidate will develop and recommend planning policy options, prepare advice for the review of planning scheme changes, and prepare briefings and correspondence for Ministers and executives. In doing these tasks, the Senior Policy Officer will consult, influence and negotiate with identified stakeholders to build consensus. A relevant tertiary qualification in town/urban planning, geography or natural resource management, or related field is desirable.

This is a fixed term – flexible position for a period to 29 June 2018
