An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Finance and Reporting Officer to join the Finance and Reporting team at DELWP. This position will administer the Service Level Agreement (SLA) between DELWP and the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) to ensure business needs are met. You will provide analysis, advice and assistance to support the Planning Group and help ensure the budget and financial management is accurate, of high quality, and compliant with Departmental guidelines, policies, and the Financial Management Act.

As the Senior Finance Officer, you will monitor and report on the agreed finance performance indicators as defined in the MoU to ensure the needs of all parties have been met, as well as assisting with preparing the monthly report, including variance analysis. You will also provide strategic budget analysis, advice and assistance to the Manager and stakeholders on the effective management of their budgets.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and capability in providing accountability and finance services and the provision of specialist technical advice to senior management and stakeholders, preferably within a government setting. You will also be proficient in a range of accounting and finance software, including Word, Excel, Lotus Notes and Oracle. A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance or equivalent is required, coupled with a CPA or CA qualification as highly desirable.

This is a fixed term part-time position working 4 days a week until 30 June 2022.
