The Development Approvals and Urban Design Unit undertake permit application assessment where the Minister for Planning is the responsible authority. It also provides urban design modelling and advice in support of work across the Planning Group, and DELWP.

The Senior Planner (Alpine) works within a team assessing development approvals where the Minister for Planning is the responsible authority and specifically focuses on the statutory responsibility of managing all aspects of planning permit applications, including liaising with stakeholders and input to the department’s data and information systems. You will provide guidance to team members and advice on issues, options and solutions within a functional area of responsibility.
The Senior Planner will be responsible for planning matters in relation to the Alpine Resorts (Mount Buller, Mount Stirling, Mount Hotham, Falls Creek, Mount Baw Baw and Lake Mountain) and other strategic sites and areas as required. The Senior Planner (Alpine) will initiate and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with peers.
