Position Details

The Planner will provide advice to decision makers on writing and translating policy objectives into actionable land use planning regulation to implement strategies and plans. The successful candidate will be expected to provide policy support as part of a team for one or more projects, policies, programs, processes, systems, stakeholder relationships, and/or pieces of legislation or regulation.

This position provides planning support as part of a team in the Planning Group which is responsible for driving implementation of the Government's major planning and building policies, strategies, systems and reforms. A good understanding of significant government policies and strategies, with an emphasis on transport and land use, combined with a sound knowledge of government processes involved with progressing plans, strategy, policy, and legislation is required.

This is a fixed term – flexible position for a period to 30 August 2018
