The Water and Catchments Group (WCG), in partnership with water corporations and catchment management authorities, is responsible for effectively managing Victoria's water resources to meet future urban, rural and environmental needs. 

The Project Officer will work within the Rural Water Policy team to engage with rural and regional stakeholders and communities to deliver projects and policies that will enable sustainable and productive futures. This role will also provide the opportunity to establish and maintain strong relationships across the water sector, communicating complex information to key stakeholders, including the general public.

The successful candidate will contribute to the analysis and development of complex policy solutions to support the delivery of the Victoria's Water for Victoria policies, the Murray Darling Basin and rural water access issues. It is highly desirable that the successful candidate will possess an appropriate tertiary qualification in science, natural resource management or relevant discipline and experience working with regional and rural communities.
