Position Details

About Us:

The Department of Justice and Community Safety has 4 prisons located in Lara being HM Prison Barwon, Marngoneet Correctional Centre and Karreenga (the annex to Marngoneet), plus the Western Plains Correctional Centre.

With these four prisons in proximity, Corrections Victoria has committed to establishing the Barwon Precinct, which will see shared operating models developed between these prisons to improve prisoner outcomes and create efficiencies.

The Facility and Assets group was established as a portion of the Barwon Precinct to provide local and contracted facility and asset management service that has consistent and transparent service levels.

About the Role:

This role provides supports the Facility and Assets group management and provides concierge / front desk services to the Barwon Precinct Statewide Services Building, which provides centralised accommodation for support services that assist operations of the Barwon Precinct prisons, including HR, Payroll, Intelligence, Security Standard, Systems and Reporting and Monitoring, and the Facility and Assets group.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Delivering high quality concierge / front desk services to the Barwon Precinct Statewide Services Building.
  • Providing administrative support to the to the Facility and Assets leadership.
  • Assisting the Executive Officer, Facility and Assets as required.

About You:

As an ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Administrative support of Procedural, clerical, administrative, and operational tasks that require technology and business skills. Use of discretion, judgment, and relevant theoretical knowledge in providing clerical, administrative, and operational service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate II in Business or equivalent is ‘desirable'.
