  • Play a key role in transforming our State Library by contributing to our wonderful State Library exhibitions!

As Exhibitions Curator you will be responsible for the development and delivery of engaging exhibition experiences that showcase the Library's collection in interesting and intriguing ways. Working with our Exhibitions designers you will collaborate on exhibition experiences for the Library's diverse audiences in multiple exhibition venues onsite and online. The Library is currently in the middle of the Vision 2020 redevelopment project which will see the library – Australia's oldest and busiest – transformed into a contemporary and exciting cultural institution. Working with the Lead Curator and the Exhibitions team, the Exhibitions curator plays a key role delivering on the Library's strategic goal to be open and inviting to all our visitors.

About the role (position description is attached):

The Exhibitions Curator works within the Exhibitions team to research, develop and deliver exhibitions as required within the timeframes and budgets of the Library's Exhibition Program. The Exhibitions Curator works closely with other Library staff across the organisation, with contractors and with external stakeholders. This role supports the work of a guest curator and subject matter specialist researching, developing and delivering exhibitions for the SLV Exhibitions program.
