About the role:

The Security Projects Coordinator provides operational support services to the security function of the State Library Victoria at both its Melbourne and Ballarat sites.  The Security Projects Coordinator is responsible for managing all preventative and reactionary maintenance of security programs and security systems. The role will also contribute to the successful delivery of physical and technical security projects and assist with risk mitigation strategies for all buildings, staff, patrons and collections.

This is a hands-on position that will provide high level administrative support to the Security Manager as required.

The Security Projects Coordinator is responsible for: 

  • Successful delivery of security projects.
  • Developing and implementing security awareness training and emergency procedures for all staff and volunteers.  
  • Implementing and reviewing daily compliance audits and project support of all technical and physical security systems.
  • Contributing to the development and documentation of threat and risk assessments, security management systems, work instructions and policy and procedures.
  • Developing working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including security service providers, police, and partnership agencies to enhance security delivery and performance.
  • Successfully performing administrative tasks to assist in the effective management of all security functions and security maintenance systems.
