Position purpose

The primary purpose of the position is to provide advice, examine, and register specific land dealings, applications and survey related plans.

The position reports to a Work Unit Manager, Land Registry Services (LRS).  LRS is a group within Land Use Victoria, and its role is to provide the Victorian community with land registration and property information services. Land Use Victoria plays a pivotal role in the Victorian Government's responsibility for providing effective property markets through the integrity and efficiency of its land administration systems.

Accountabilities

  • Participate in phase 1 of the Plan Registration Officer competency-based training program.
  • Learning how to examine, process and register specific dealings, applications and plans.
  • Under direction receive customers, provide information and advice to customers and staff on services, products and processes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of changes to work practices and procedures.
  • Contribute to LRS and Land Use Victoria project initiatives.
  • Attend presentations and information sessions for the benefit of staff, customers and other organisations.

  • Willingness to participate in of Land Use Victoria's Plan Registration Officers (PRO) competency-based training program.

Specialist/Technical Expertise

  • A willingness to undertake further studies in a survey-related field.
  • Year 12, with a demonstrated proficiency in mathematics. 

These are fixed-term positions, for a period of 18 months, with the opportunity to become ongoing.
