The Senior Adviser, Strategic Policy supports the Senior Manager, Governance, Legislation and Integrity and manages project staff, and works in consultation with key stakeholders to provide strategic advice and shape future directions for local government.  The position works collaboratively within Local Government Victoria, government departments and agencies, peak bodies and the local government sector. Key responsibilities include initiating and undertaking research, analysis and evaluation of specific projects, programs, issues and trends in local government governance, legislation and integrity. You will be required to conceptualize, plan, deliver and report on project strategies, plans, policies, and guidance materials to deliver legislative and governance reform across the local government sector.  

The successful candidate will possess a tertiary degree in a relevant field, have experience in a similar position and have a good understating of Government structure and processes.
