Position Details

Position purpose

The Administration Officer coordinates the processing of profession training agreements for graduate surveyors, administers Further Professional Education and Training activities for licensed surveyors, and assists with the administration of the Board's complaints-handling and disciplinary processes.  Working closely with the Executive Officer and as part of a small team, the Administration Officer is highly organised, has a strong customer focus, can prioritise tasks, and provides a broad range of administrative and support services to the Surveyors Registration Board of Victoria.

The role is diverse in its activities from board administration to event coordination to customer and industry liaison. There is an opportunity through the changing priorities to grow and develop in all aspects of statutory board functions inclusive of working within a dynamic team environment. 

Accountabilities

  • Coordinate the processing of professional training agreements for graduate surveyors and their supervising surveyors. 
  • Provide advice and support to the Executive Officer, Board members, graduate surveyors, supervising surveyors, examiners and moderators in relation to professional training agreements.
  • Administer and maintain the Board's records, correspondence and databases.
  • Assist with the administration of Further Professional Education or Training for licensed surveyors.
  • Assist with the administration of the Board's complaints-handling and disciplinary processes.
  • Maintain the Board's web site by ensuring that information published online is accurate and current.
  • Contribute to the drafting of articles for publication in the Board's newsletters, presentations, correspondence, invitations, certificates and registration documents.
  • Organise venues, catering and hospitality for Board meetings, conferral of registration ceremonies, workshops and other Board events.

Specialist/Technical Expertise

  • An understanding of competency-based training is desirable.
  • Experience in database management and the ability to provide a broad range of administrative functions will be highly regarded.
