The Senior Policy Officer, Energy Efficiency (VEET) will work with a team in delivering the Minister’s priorities for the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (VEET) scheme. The VEET scheme began in 2009 with the objectives of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, encouraging the efficient use of electricity and gas, and encouraging investment, employment and technology development in industries that supply goods and services which reduce the use of electricity and gas by consumers.
The role will require a diverse range of skills, including technical development of the energy efficiency activities incentivised under the scheme, working with legislation, and ensuring effective communications within the Department, with the Minister’s Office and with government and external stakeholders.
