The Senior Biodiversity Officer co-ordinates the timely provision of technical advice to support decision making processes, with a focus on environmental impacts on road projects. The key responsibility is to ensure biodiversity assets are recognised, appropriately considered and conserved through the planning and approvals processes for road projects.

If you are experienced in natural resource management including environmental assessment and regulation, and have a sound understanding of relevant strategies, standards and legislative obligations including the Native Vegetation regulations and the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988, you are strongly encouraged to apply. Community and stakeholder engagement and project management are also key components to this role.

This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2019.
