The Senior Project Officer will work with a team to develop the Long Term Water Resource Assessment (LTWRA) approach and conduct the first such assessment for southern Victoria. The role contributes to the delivery of a key action in Water for Victoria, with the assessment being an integral element of Victoria’s state wide water resource assessment and planning framework, together with sustainable water strategies.
The position will work collaboratively across the Water and Catchments group and with technical specialists in developing the approach for the LTWRA. Effective communication will be an important part of the role and will include communicating the role of the LTWRA in the broader water resource management context as well as communicating complex technical issues to a broad audience.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is mandatory.
This is a fixed term position for a period of 3 years.
