The Infrastructure Coordination team works across the department to deliver a whole of DELWP response on high value, high risk projects for the Government including remediation of coal mines, large scale renewable energy projects, and major road, rail and port investments.


  • Provide strategic advice to DELWP management on policies, planning and environmental programs relevant to major infrastructure projects, including energy developments and rail, road and related transport infrastructure.
  • Directly manage and coordinate the assessment of environmental approvals within the Policy and Infrastructure Coordination team.
  • Provide whole of portfolio coordination for DELWP input to Commonwealth and Victorian environmental referrals.
  • Undertake comprehensive environmental reviews and investigations, as required, to form knowledge basis for advice on high risk/high value projects and environmental approvals.
  • Prepare reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues relating to energy and infrastructure projects
  • Apply negotiation, persuasion and motivation skills to manage relationships with staff across the department and external stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.
